It's truelly a sign of the times and the economy that we are even seeing items like this on the market let alone at theese prices. No doubt the price is up there for many but compared to other Winchester 1876 models this isn't exactly over priced. Interesting stuff either way.

Does look to be in good shape. As to price, I don't know if that is a steel or not. Have to leave that up to you.

Looks to be in very nice shape, but $9,999 is above my limit.

Why blame the economy I wonder?

It's overpriced for the reasons stated (as is everything in the Cabelas library) and stuff shows up there all the time more rare. Mostly because people die and their heirs sell it off in one large chunk to estate buyers instead of piece by piece.

No doubt those two things are what's keeping the price under 20k. 76's are running an easy 7-15k.

They have an 1860 government issue that is incredibly cool. Read the letter that comes with the gun. smile

Ha! I used to goad a friend into buying stuff at gunshows like that. Of course he'd catch hell at home and blame it on me, BUT he always made money on them. I swear that guy could trade into a new gun by starting out with a rusty nail. He has since met his great reward and is proabably wheeling and dealing!
