Not being very patient I trial and error-ed it. Turned out GUD!
1/3 cup crushed Munchos 1/3 cup pancake mix 1/3 cup all purpose flour Black pepper, Red Pepper to taste.
'Nuff water to make the batter.
I pat dried the jap rings, dipped in the batter and tossed in the hot oil. Fry to golden.
Dip was sour cream and paprika for color.

Only hard thing was finding a Jap to be ringed and pickled. Sumbitch went all Samurai.
