I recently bought a 391 and 390 beretta shotgun for sporting clays they both have 30" barrels, I was only going to buy one of them but you know how that goes lol!! I couldn't make up my mind which one I wanted. My question is that the 391 had a little work done to it. The person who owned it is a gunsmith and a damn good one at that, but shaved about a 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch off the comb and made it parallel. What is the reason behind this? He also shortened the lenth of pull, which might be a little short for me but I can add a spacer for that. I keep wondering about the comb, I'm goig to go back to him and have him fit me with the gun. I just want someone elses opinion.<BR> I was going to sell one or the other but now I have them both I might just keep em!!Who know maybe the 390 will be worth something someday.
