I thought I was entered I signed up to give you some competition... Look at his head, his scalp was torn loose and he had a hole about the size of a nickel thru his skull. No brain injury and it was trying to heal up, no idea how he was injured. Until he ran across my 223 that is...

When I was in the Army at Ft. Knox, Kentucky we could only use 12 gauge slugs for deer.
I seriously doubt your CO would let an automatic weapon out of the Arms room. I'm guessing the recruiter blew smoke up your a$$
You could buy your own shotgun and store it in the arms room.

Got this guy this morning with my Son's 223. I used the 60 gr Partition. Short shot 40 yards broke one rib entering destroyed the heart and broke one rib exiting. I think I forgot to post a pic of the doe I got last week. Anyway, here she is, I got her at 100 yards. I hit her a little high and back from the shoulder, as she stepped into a dry creek bed right as I fired the shot. The bullet nicked the bottom edge of her spine and she went down DRT. I used my Son's 223 for her with the 60gr Partition.

Coldcase, why don't you give the Fusions a try and let us know how they work. I have some on the way that a friend gave me, I'm sure going to give them a try. I also have some Power Points to try. Only problem is I'm running out of tags...

As is shown from all the pics, hit them right and down they go.
I try to aim for a head / neck shot with my 223 - if i am ever caught short with it and come across a deer.
