Looks like a typical SHOT Show to me, though I have seen them, ah, bigger....

JB,
You might be able to collect some extra $$ from Remington for proof-reading their catalogs.

No amount of money would make proof-reading the Remington catalog worthwhile. In fact I gave up reading it just for basic information a long time ago, because it's almost impossible to find!

At S.H.O.T., Winchester reintroduced the .348 Model 71 Lever-action rifle - made in Japan by Miroku, of course. Complete with tang safety, and most likely a rebounding hammer. Here's the S.H.O.T. video, from Winchester's website: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymu_KyPq110&feature=player_embedded.

Brad, or anyone - any idea if Kimber plans to run the Stainless Classic 84L in the timeline of the Montana?

Any news if Winchester will again offer the model 70 in left handed versions?

Or, maybe you could suggest to the Marlin guys that XS-7s in 223 and 22-250 with 1-8" or 1-9" ROT barrel, plus XL-7s in 7mm Rem Mag and 300 Win Mag, would go a long ways toward helping the XL/XS-7 line kick Savage's a$$ out of the <$300 CF bolt action market niche.

I heard something and saw an ad for the new WBY Vanguard.
Same action, new trigger, new stock, three position safety, and a sub moa guarantee. Supposed to retail for under $500.
Bill where can i go to find the specs on this or see pictures of the new stock? also saw where someone mentioned that stainless vanguards would be availible again anybody know what the over the counter price would be on these and when are they coming out. there is nothing on weatherby's web site Join the weatherby nation-They say that they will be available by May. A very good two stage trigger that they emphasized would be set at 3lbs with little creep and the return of the VGX are both good plans. Sincerely, Thomas

My comments,
I have no desire to have a bullet that is actually designed to stay inside a deer, that....scope from Steiner looks great and I think the Winchester 71 being made again is a good idea as interest in the originals and Brownings seems pretty high. The tang safety on it makes me want to swear though.....

Don't know about S&B, but Steiner unveiled their new Tactical Scopes this year. Scopes? I don't see any scopes in that picture...

Anyone tell us what the mag box length is on the SA Vanguards - i.e., what is the max COL that will work with the box?

Look at the pair of objectives on that gal--must be 100mm at least..... Wonder how much "light" they gather?...... Casey Don't know about S&B, but Steiner unveiled their new Tactical Scopes this year.

Cute for sure, but what in the world is that outfit she's wearing?
I'd equate her garb with Steiner "quality"...

Any news from Leupold? I have heard rumors about a new VX-6 line of riflescopes?
