I hunted out of Aberdeen, N/E corner. I used a variety of shells but favored the Fed Prem magnum copper plated #5's (max drams, 1 3/8 oz load) I also tried some Federal pheasant loads that were loaded to 1500 fps and these were great as well , but I didn't have a box of my own. I tried my 20 ga the first day and it was bust. needed more reach. Most shots were 30-35 yds.

glad you had fun!
i only get after pheasants once in awhile because i'd rather hunt other stuff, but it usually is a good time, even if a little easy...
Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It is much more important than that.
