My brother in law {Larry} and I hunted thanksgiving evening. On the first stand we had 3 singles respond .The first one came right on in and Larry shot it using a Remington 7400 .270 with Remington managed recoil .the second one just disappeared,we never did see where it went.the third one took it's time coming ,but finally got there and stopped about 150 yards out, Larry dropped it !
we made one dry stand ,moved and made another one came in and just vanished behind a bush ,about 30 minutes later we where getting ready to move again and the coyote got up from behind the bush and walked off! that's a first for me never had one do that! on the last stand light was fading quick and one snuck in almost in Larry's lap! he never got off a shot!
Early the next morning Regi and I went out to deer hunt ,but the wind was howling so we called yotes instead.we called for ever at least an hour ,which we generally don't do ,but this place is not big enough to move around a lot so we stay put and pull them in from surrounding land.we finally decided we would move so I turned off the FX3 and we just sat there for about another 15 minutes. we were packed and ready to move when I saw one coming up the fence line regi dropped it at 160 yards with his Bushmaster using Remington 55gr.psp! it was an old toothless mangy sucker,so nasty we didn't even take pics! I got good footage of all three kills!
