Ok, 4 those of you that actually clean their rifles from time to time what do you use for a craddle to hold your rifle? I have an old ones that's about due to be replaced as it's not holding together anymo. So, what's the juice on the cleaning craddles these days? Gracias Dober

Dober I use an old MTM model. Rwd tray with the removable plastic pueces to rest rifle in. Aint fancy but certainly serviceable and i have no complaints.

Heck, most of the time I just have a couple notches cut out of a cardboard box. Any used patches get thrown in the box and when it gets a bit ratty, I get another one.

I have a cheap Stoney Point light weight craddle for the range and a heavier wood homemade job for the house.

I bought one from Cabelas years ago - the rifle supports look just like this one currently at Cabelas: but the base is single tray very similar to the one roundoak's son made: [/quote]

I use the same one. It works fine for my needs; holds enough crap in the compartments, stores well when not being used and travels to the range with me if need be.

I use a Tipton at home and The same as KDK and Lawdwaz on my range/camp cleaning box. I prefer the sit on top for hunting/range work even though the box has its own cradle pieces that clip in
