it has been nearly a year since my last opener...

Now with a week to go and another Halloween to get through the symptons are stronger then ever.

Glazed over eyes, drool streams from the corner of my mouth, packing and repacking orange, ammo, and other essentials...

Work productivity has slowed...constant review and rechecks of weather forecasts....

My lord can anyone tolerate much more of this...

I hear you...but I'm on the other side of it. I got my mulie the first day with a new rifle. Yea...I helped others get their deer, but one shot wasn't enough. So I'm still going through withdrawals!
Coyotes anyone?

I've been taking the edge off by sniping crows in the corn stubble.

HBB, there are too many used old Hawken style rifles sitting lonely in guns stores that need a good home. Those old Thompson's and CVA's will still kill stuff dead.

Waiting on Saturday. Wish it were a bit cooler.

There are two or three muzzle loaders in the house I just hate fooling with them.

It's bad...drove past the water tower taking kids to school. Saw a couple does and small buck...immediately began to salivate.

Good thing is boys were already talking shot angles...

You guys have it easy. Last year before the hunt I broke two ribs, and had to skip hunting. This year I broke my back. I still have another year to wait to hunt.

Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a hunting license and that's pretty close.

You should stop breaking bones and stuff.
