Your die will size the case slightly different depending on the wall thickness, brass hardness, and amount it springs back. The dies are built to a slightly smaller dimension then the desired final size of the case to take some of this into account.
Note too, the die is tapered at the bottom to allow smooth feeding of the case, and it doesn't size the last 0.10" or so of the case head. Being the head is nearly solid it normally doesn't overly expand enough to need resizing anyway except from extensive times fired or a too hot load.
The entire all of the case/die is tapered too on a 35 Rem and that makes it hard to measure accurately if you just want to compare at a specific point
