When the 3-9x40 (and others in the original Monarch line) were being discontinued in favor of the 4x range of magnification, TP struck a deal with Nikon for all of the remaining inventory to make the 3-9xs and marketed them under the Team Primos logo. You can verify with Nikon it you want, but this is common knowledge in the optics world, so you could likely verify elsewhere as well. Also, once you look through it after sundown, you'll know for certain that it is indeed Monarch glass. You can call Nikon USA at 800-645-6687.

Where does it say “Monarch “...? What makes it a “Monarch”? Not Bobby but I have had a 1/2 dozen of these Monarch scopes in the past. They are identical to the Buckmaster lineup in every way imaginable.

RatherBHuntin Here is a manufacture description showing that the Monarch and Team Primos -- in this particular scope -- are one and the same. Team Primos = Monarch

The weight claimed in the manufacturer's link I provided above is 13 ounces. I can't verify that as 1) my postal scale has been without a battery for a long while and 2) the scope is packed up, packaged and ready for a new home. The claimed length is 12.3".

"The Team Primos Rifle-Scope by Nikon features the same high level of durability and quality found in Nikon's flagship Monarch Riflescope" . Does not say it's the same. If it were it would say so.

"The Team Primos Rifle-Scope by Nikon features the same high level of durability and quality found in Nikon's flagship Monarch Riflescope" . Does not say it's the same. If it were it would say so. Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the subject and get the facts straight before chiming in on someone else's ad. And I quote from Nikon marketing archives: "Nikon and Primos have teamed up with a Monarch 3-9X40 rifle scope with a Bullet Drop Compensator Reticle. Featuring all the performance advantages that have made the Monarch scope the choice of serious hunters for over a decade." Anyway, if you want to buy it or add FACTUAL information to the post, then your input is welcomed and appreciated. But if you simply want to debate something or regurgitate nonsense to up your post count, might I suggest a more-appropriate platform like Hunter's Campfire. After all, debating a point in someone else's classified ad -- particularly when you are armed with nothing more than an unsubstantiated opinion -- is both in poor taste and disrespectful.
