Not a Classic. A BDL.

The only 700 BDLs in 257 Roberts that I remember were a non-cataloged limited run.

The only cataloged 700s that I recall in 257 Roberts were the 700 Classic, their only long action 257 Roberts, the 700 Mountain Rifle, and the 700 CDL-SF.

There were 2 other non-cataloged 700s in 257 Roberts that I recall, a 700 ADL matte/synthetic that they made for Grice Wholesale and a stainless 700 Classic. There might have been others, but those are the only ones that I recall.

Cool. I didn’t know that.

Do you mean the non-cataloged limited run of short actin 700 BDLs in 257 Roberts or some other non-cataloged run?

Yes. 1992 was last year offered for that caliber.

The 300 Savage was never cataloged in the 700 except in the 2003 700 Classic. There was a non-cataloged run of 700 BDLs, but I don't remember when or for whom.

The 700 Classics in 300 Savage and 8x57 were poor sellers and most of them were sold at a discount by places like CDNN that specialize in closing out inventory that manufacturers and wholesales can't turn over fast enough. I'd bet that most of the 700 Classics in 300 Savage and 8x57 were bought for donor actions rather than to be used as manufactured.

The one that they missed and should have happened…..it seemed so obvious but then again Remington had a knack for missing the obvious!!
