I’m wondering how much closed cell foam is needed to float roughly 1400lbs (SeaArk 2272/115 Yamaha, down riggers, electronics, seats, etc).

My calculations are as follows;
1 cu/ft = 60 lbs of floatation.
One 4’x8’x2” sheet = 5.33 cu/ft

So 1200-1400 of total weight seems to require roughly 24 cu/ft of foam.?

Does this (my math) seem correct.?

Thank you in advance.

the creed of ignorance,
and the gospel of envy,
its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
