Thank you and same in return! Not sure about this season, been warm, leaves and buds are out pretty good. Have not heard a gobble for over 2 weeks now. Bird sightings dropped way off around here too.

Got out early with my oldest Son, and heard a lot of Gobblers, and saw some Hen's, as I passed a shot on a hen,(which isn't in season), and the Gobbler wouldn't come in.

Had fun and chased some Gobbles!

Good Luck, to all as we'll try next week,

My oldest son and I also were able to get out today. It was certainly a big endeavor for 4 months post-op knee replacement. We ended up hearing 4 different gobblers, and managed to call one along with a jake to 25 yards, my 870 made quick work of him. 9.5" beard and just shy of an inch spurs. As I was tagging him, one of the earlier Tom's worked towards us, but hung up at 75 yards. My son will try for him next week. Haven't taken a gobbler for myself in 4 yrs, between work and hunting them with my kids and others. It was a great day, oh , and the knee was pretty good, little stiff and swollen now, but well worth it!

Got one at 6:30,9 1/2" beard 22 lbs. It's been a while for me, usually have my grandson shoot but he was getting over being sick. Bet he's really sick after seeing my pics.

Had 4 guys come in on us while working a bird, counted 11 shots before 8. Setting along a back corner of a field, counted 17 trucks drive past before 10. Never thought it would be like this.
Pa should go to a lottery or draw for spring gobbler.

Hunted from 0-dark:30 til noon.

Called in 2 jakes on the silent around 8:30. Never heard a gobble all day. But, I did get pretty good and damp and miserable.

Could only hunt til 8 due to prior commitments. Took my 10yr old with me, after confirming she didn’t care if we got wet. She passed up two Jakes on youth day, so I figured we’d head to a spot I’d been seeing a couple longbeards. We ended up finding a longbeard and a hen at 7am. Worked him for 1.5hrs, got him to leave the hen, and she pulled the trigger at 830, at 22 yards. The tss 410 handload crushed him. We got totally drenched, and were late to our commitment. But the smile was 100% worth it.

She’s something else, lol. Here’s better pic of her and the whole bird, and my bird from this morning. He only had one spur(the other was broken off), and he took a handload of 20ga TSS at 13 yards. That one spur was the prettiest thing left to take a pic of.
