There is a distillery just north of Savannah that sells "Jimmy Red corn" whisky that is pretty good. We stayed along the waterfront in an old hotel, make sure to do the local bus tour of Savannah's history. Pretty cool place. Also a neat candy store along the waterfront roadway, pecan log rolls and other good candies, I think a 100 year old company. River street inn is where we stayed, 5 story, 100+ year old hotel that has access to river street, nice dining options there also.
