We have some leviathans in the deep part of the pond. I can only imagine the terror (if they actually feel terror) in the sunfish and little bass when they are hooked and they start their frantic dance of despair, when the big one's come up for the easy meal.
This isn't the first time its happened, just the first time it was landed like this.
Most of the time the second hit is so hard, it breaks the line.

I have seen pictures of this. It's never happened to me. What did you hook the smaller bass on Lure or live bait?

More exciting with 50lb+ Lingcod..................
Brad says: "Can't fault Rick for his pity letting you back on the fire... but pity it was and remains. Nothing more, nothing less. A sad little man in a sad little dream."

Little halibut and little ling. Little ling and much bigger ling. The big ones are carnivrous bastids.

The old adage is,you don't have a GOOD Ling',until the 4th one of the cycle..................
