Didn't say it was their job only to point out the fact they are deliberately pushing the envelope to SELL ME (or you) on a notion that's just not representative.
Like I said on my OP, I don't give a rat's ass what people do, just don't try to sell me the idea. As far as on the importance scale compared to the deficit, well that would be a noshitsherlock moment, then again it was a post open to opinions and I offered mine. Yours might vary (and it did). No harm. And yes it's a happy family etc. but all things being equal (equal being the operative word) if two gentlemen, one white one..of another race were courting my daughter, my preference would be for her to marry the white gent. It's a free country?
All I know is you mexicans sure like the white womens.
yeah what's a brick and a fat white chick have in common???????
My idea of being organic is taking a dump in the woods.
I saw the Cheerios commercial in question. It does seem to me that the frequency of racially mixed couples depicted in commercials is much greater than what I see in real life, that an agenda is being promoted. But TV is brain-rotting junk anyway, right? No big deal.
This one: http://youtu.be/NUbqfcwWj5Y was a little more unsettling to me... Sort of got sucked into it, was thinking "what if this was my daughter?" Thinking I hope I would overcome my biases and not lose my child over something like this - but then got over towards the end of it, Dad starts spewing about what a "completely natural thing" this is, and I said "bullshit" Looks like an agenda being pushed to me.
I'm sick of this liberal social engineering bullshitt.
I guess none of you guys know many liberals.
Just take a moment and think of half a dozen or so of the most liberal, progressive socialist people at work in Washington and in the news media. How many of them can you recall going on record as saying that black people marrying white people and having children is a good thing for America? (Hint: not many.)
Fact is, the most politically correct politicians, academics and media people are more likely to take the personal view that interracial marriage between blacks and whites is an attack against African American society. A form of cultural apartheid.
Think about it; does Al Sharpton make public statements saying he approves of black/white marriage? Jesse Jackson? Barak Obama? They don't say they're against it, but God, almighty, they get really anxious when the subject comes up.
How many prominent white liberals marry a black person and then show up at public events, arm-in-arm? Not many, right? Now consider Republican John Boehner and Republican John McCain. Boehner's white daughter married a black man this year. McCain's white son married a black woman this year.
No kidding. Whatever motive General Mills had for making this commercial - promoting a liberal political agenda had NOTHING to do with it. In fact, it was a poke in the eye to anyone with pretensions of political correctness.
You folks are all just being racist. Take a lesson from Anti-Racist Hitler.
Made some good points. I have always questioned why the entertainment industry, dominated by jews, has produced and promoted a world view that is contrary to their secular beliefs.
Even more puzzling is that some here would blindly put the interest of one country before their own, based on antiquated religious doctrine or direct benefit by inefficient government policy.
It seems that everything on TV today is agenda driven, not just the commercials. Every show has a Black man married to a white woman (or just living with) a gay couple or two, and a single mom struggling to raise some kids. Now I know that it happens in real life but every show, give me a break. miles
The agenda stuff is too obvious. Watch TV during "sweep weeks" when the TV industry determines viewership and the bad guys always look like me - a middle aged, grumpy, stupid dad or crazy ex-GI(Sometimes I wear camo or flannel in protest). Sadly it's just the way the TV industry works.
Sure plays heck with my niece's heads because I am the bad guy in their culture, but also their favorite uncle and real father figure!
I think he meant mute. After all, were I to be touching Ms. Berry, or she I, there would be noise. No claims as to the sort of noise produced, especially on her part. But it wouldn't be quiet...
Hold on now, Just hold on, ladies and gennamens o'da jury. Befo' you reach a decision, you needs ta know. Dat bitch had eat up evah last Cheerio in da house!
but then all too often, you get the liberal lefties that instantly want to condemn anyone and everyone that has a negative reaction to another example of what looks like all the social disasters in our society.
Like this guy Penquin's instant condemnation of the OP...as an example...
Are you kidding? In the 5 months and damned near 2000 posts on this site since this clown showed up he has been subjecting us to his views on everything from race to communism to labor unions to the odds of life on mars! My god, you couldn't help but know what his opinion is on almost any given topic. It would be like trying not to notice what color the sky is.
His right to the benefit of the doubt disappeared about a thousand questionable posts ago.
As per your other point I am not a liberal. Not even close. Nor am I any kind of paragon of virtue on the topic of race. But I try to be fair in my judgments. And I don't go spouting off my opinions on a lot of these divisive issues at the drop of a hat like Klink does.

Yo,....."Penguin Guy" ,
"Klink" is a [bleep]' 8 ball.
Stirs chit just to get the smell, it would seem.
ALWAYS indignant and P.O.'d, seldom funny or warm, and bombastic to a degree that would be humorous, were it not so goddam DANGEROUS.
Kinda' wonder who the sucker works for, and how / why they're pullin' his strings, 'cuz he does a site like this little (if any) credit, and in point of fact toxifies the dialogue.

It's the falsehood of problem free multiculturalism that I hate. The fact that ALL men are racist to some degree is the cause.
Nope, you're from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Only three races: Caucasian Negroid Mongolid
