What's a good powder funnel for loading 223 cases? I have the RCBS funnel that came with my Rock Chucker kit several years ago but I have to hold it just right to avoid leakage. I mostly use TAC. Thanks.

Satern would be worth a look. one of my favorites in other calibers. I just seldom load 22 caliber offerings these days. https://shop.saternbarrels.net/products/22-cal-powder-funnel

Question for the op, how are you dispensing your powder? For load development I use Lee scoops. Otherwise I use either a RCBS Uniflow or a Lyman DPS 2.

Thanks. If you are using TAC, you should be dropping directly from your uniflow. Absolutely no need for a funnel. From Saturn or venus. Some of these guys thinking about uranus though...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Just another solution searching for a problem. 30+ years and thousands of 22 rounds using the RCBS funnel without problems.

My problem first happened in the mid eighties, though not with the 223. My RCBS 22-45 cal. funnel was trickling 296 powder around the outside of 22 Hornet cases. A 17 cal. funnel fixed the problem.
It's taken this long for me to find out that I was imagining it? Son of a....

Hip Same here. In fact I use the 22 caliber spout, on things up to 6.5 mm. Which fits in mostly what calibers I shoot.

Just another solution searching for a problem. 30+ years and thousands of 22 rounds using the RCBS funnel without problems. Yep I disagree. I use an RCBS funnel that was my father’s and it’s got the same problem as the OP’s. After years (decades) of use they end up with ridges in the bottom of the funnel from the necks of chamfered cartridge cases of different calibers. The .224 cases tend to hang up on the ridges from .243 or .257 caliber cartridges which leaves enough space for small grain ball powders to spill through. A new RCBS funnel would fix the problem but they’re up to $6-$8 now.

My old green RCBS funnel leaks powder around 22 case necks. I have a black CH funnel that solves the 22 problem. They're even color coded so I can find them easily in the drawer.
